11 Tips for Boosting Employee Productivity

One of the biggest complaints I get from my clients is getting the staff not just to do their work but enjoy the work at their company.

You know what I am talking about that enthusiastic, passionate waiter at a restaurant or that employee in the electronics store. Their sheer joy and presence make our day and puts a fun smile on our faces. We probably bought more than we originally planned because their happiness was so infectious and convincing.


Fortunately for you, you can foster that in your current staff! Below are a few ways to encourage that kind of behavior in your company. I must warn you this may seem like common sense, but there is a reason why staff motivation is a top pain point. Each of these tips can be a class on its own. Remember, it isn't what you do but HOW you do it.

  1. 🗣️ Have a heart-to-heart: Take a moment to listen and let your team know how much they're valued and appreciated. Give them a chance to share their thoughts and ideas.

  3. 📈 Make room for growth: Help your team level up and advance their careers. Share stories of how you've helped other employees grow and develop.

  4. 🎉 Let the good times roll: Find ways to inject fun and laughter into the workday. Happy employees make for happy customers!

  5. 👯‍♀️ team up for success: Create friendly team competitions that help your company grow while enhancing your team's soft skills, like teamwork.

  6. 🙏 Take care of your crew: Remember, your team members are people too! Be understanding and supportive when life happens.

  7. 🛠️ Equip them for success: Give your team the tools, resources, and training they need to succeed. Keep them up to date with periodic refresher training.

  8. 👨‍💼 Lead the way: Be the change you want to see in your workplace. Set the tone with your values and integrity.
