Why is Gifting Better Than Discounting?


It is a huge debate for marketers and business owners on what to do: Gifting or Discounting. šŸŽšŸ’ø


If you are in the wellness self-care business, such as holistic centers, natural medicine, & medical spas, I highly recommend gifting your services. šŸ’†ā€ā™€ļøšŸŒæ

Another way to look at it is that your business is your baby. If you start giving away discounts, you are telling people that you don't fully value your services. Discounting has the appearance that things are not selling the way we like, so we are going to reduce our price to entice you to buy. šŸš«šŸ’°


However, if you choose to gift them money or credit towards your services, it has an entirely different tone. Gifting has the appearance that we value you as a customer and believe it is in your best interest to try our services. In an effort to make this work for you, we will gift you a certain amount or service. šŸŽāœØ


Gifting leaves the customer feeling special and will respect you for holding your boundaries and not discounting your services. Two qualities I know we want all our customers to feel when interacting with us! šŸ’–šŸ™Œ
