When Your Closest People Become Your Biggest Critics - The Hero's Journey

It's so funny but I don't think this is talked about enough – when you're starting a business in those first five years, your biggest haters are often the people closest to you. Your family and friends all seem to doubt you, and it's aggravating because you are new to this environment, doing your best to survive and maybe thrive.

While you're struggling to step into your FULL power and grow this business, you're simultaneously battling external factors. Family and friends keep making subtle side comments that chip away at your self-esteem, making you doubt yourself even more – as if you needed any extra with internal doubt!

On top of it any small achievements you do make, may not seem significant enough for your family and friends to applaud you.

Well, I'm here to tell you that what you're feeling is completely normal. In fact, I want you to take this as a sign that you're on the right path. The business you're building, the dreams you're creating – are real and achievable!

This is what I call it the hero's journey.

Every successful entrepreneur has been exactly where you are right now – feeling small, doubtful, and their circle of friends mirroring that!

But here's the truth: those doubts is just noise. They're the background static while real magic is happening.

Your family might not understand your vision. Your friends might think you're taking too big a risk. But their limited perspective doesn't define your potential.

Their comfort zone isn't your roadmap to success.

When people close to you can't see your dream, it often means you're onto something revolutionary. Something bigger than their current understanding. And that's exciting!

So keep pushing. Keep believing. Keep building.

Let those side comments fuel you instead of breaking you. Every skeptical remark is just another reminder that you're doing something worth talking about.

Your entrepreneurial journey isn't about proving them wrong. It's about proving to yourself how right you can be.

Don't let others dim your light or stop you from reaching your dreams. This is just a checkpoint in your hero's journey to success.

You got this. You always have – just keep believing in your dreams and what you are building.

As always, I'm here to help you get ridiculously loyal customers so give me a shout! I love to hear from you!
